Pressure - but relief in the typing department

The pressure is really building up with 3-modules to study plus commentaries to perform each week. I am working very long hours but am not happy that I am retaining enough of what I read. I am absolutely delighted with the dictation software though. It has radically improved my note taking and given the poor state of my typing it has allowed me to take notes and dictate much more quickly and easily than before. I do find the Blackboard rather clunky and awkward but with 3 computers at my command it is easy to flip from topic to reference to Word doc without losing concentration etc.

A week or so in to the course and it is terrifying how much there is to read and create. With 3 modules plus the marketing work I am having to be extremely careful about time management.

The books I have read also seem to merge in the background 'noise' and I am struggling to remember who said what and when. Hope none reads this anytime soon...

Finding Munday and Bassnett the best and the clearest so far. I think my first presentation should be on equivalence i/c pragmatic. Munday is very strong on this with FORMAL and DYNAMIC and yet he is also concise. Baker goes into great lengths on coherence and cohesion and I need to read Pym

Reading Mona Baker and Jeremy Munday alternately. Every now and then, panic at the books I haven't read. Equivalence is starting to form in my mind as a topic I would like to pursue for my presentation and essay.  Formal - dynamic and pragmatic
